Renee Vanderwerken brings a life time of horsemanship to her clients. From her childhood at Doornhof Farm, the family owned and operated farm that grew to a successful equine import, breeding and teaching business.
Over years of riding many imported warm bloods and competing as a B rated USPC Bennington Pony Club member on Regional and National 3 Day Event Competitions, Renee had also been short listed on the North American Young Riders 3 Day Event Team in Area I for 3 years in a row.
The discipline of Dressage riding came into Renee’s life after having trained in Germany at Klosterhof near Hamburg with Mr. Eugene Whaler in 1979. Renee received her Associates Degree in Equine Science from Cazenovia College and has dedicated her life to horses.
At home she trains her own warm bloods and has successfully competed at USDF recognized shows through FEI intermediare 1 until 2004.

She continues her Dressage education and training through opportunities with the USDF, riding with and auditing current top dressage professionals.
Renee shares her passion for horses with her husband David and two daughters Meggi and Erika. Meggi competed on Renee’s Dutch warm blood FEI horse in the Young Riders Dressage recognized selections. She competed at the North American Young Rider’s Competition on the USDF Region 8 team, Prix St. George under the coaching of Pam Goodrich.
Meggi attended the University of Massachusetts' Stockbridge School with a major in equine industry. She has worked for and mentored under Pam Goodrich, Pierre St. Jacques, Michael and Vera Barisone from 2004-2008.
David Vanderwerken harvests our own hay and is our equipment manager. David also holds commercial class A drivers license having owned his past horse transport business up and down the east coast Vt. – West Palm Beach Florida.
Erika is a business student a J & W University.
